About 'meets'

When you visit a 'meet' for the first time, you'll be made very welcome. 'Meets' are the local members of the Camping and Caravanning club meeting to do what they enjoy best - camping. Meets are often held in places that you can't normally camp, and they are a very in-expensive way to camp. Typically you can expect to pay £4/night, and (if you go with your local District Association) the meets will be fairly close to where you live.

Meets are camping in a 'pure' form, where you bring your own facilities. Typically you'll have to use your own sanitation, and there is unlikely to be any electrical hook-ups. But don't be put off, come along and join a group of like-minded people - and have a good time.
